TRANSWESTERN ROLE

As Executive Vice President of Tenant Advisory + Workplace Solutions, John specializes in advising Washington, D.C.’s Advocacy Industry – Fortune 500 corporate government affairs offices, associations, law firms, lobbyists and non-profit organizations. John is also responsible for multi-market accounts.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Since joining Transwestern, John and his partner John Lugar have represented some of the most prestigious and well-respected advocacy organizations, including The Business Roundtable, The Financial Services Forum, Airlines for America, NAMIC, ILPA, and Brownstein Hyatt, along with the Government Affairs offices for Charter Communications, The Home Depot, Tyson Foods, Peabody Energy and Rio Tinto. Prior to joining Transwestern, John served as a Senior Vice President with Colliers International’s Washington, D.C. Occupier Advisory Services Group, where he worked closely with national and local corporate clients. In the past five years, he has completed over 300 transactions, including lease restructuring and renewals, new site selections and dispositions of excess space, totaling more than $700 million in total transaction value.
 
Before joining Colliers International, he worked on the Corporate Real Estate Services team at GVA Advantis and was an assistant with First Washington Realty’s property management group.

EDUCATION

John earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology and anthropology from Ohio Wesleyan University, and is a graduate of Gonzaga College High School in Washington, D.C. where he has been a volunteer lacrosse coach for the past 12 years.
