TRANSWESTERN ROLE

As Chief Transformation Officer, Steve guides the vision and execution of initiatives that continue to reshape the Transwestern enterprise for long-term, sustainable growth. This includes orchestrating resources to scale capabilities and optimize synergies across the Transwestern companies that fulfill the firm’s mission of value creation for investors, clients and team members.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Steve joined Transwestern in 2000 and served as the firm’s Chief Financial Officer for 21 years. In this role, he oversaw all financial matters for the firm and its affiliates, including accounting and reporting, cash management and forecasting, and internal audit. He also directed project accounting and the development of national standards and policies for regional financial projects.
 
Prior to joining Transwestern, Steve was senior controller at Hines, responsible for the real estate development and management company’s Dallas operations, including the Dallas Galleria complex. Previously, he was assistant controller for Ayrshire/Eland Corporation, a privately held residential and commercial real estate company in Houston. He also held various positions with KPMG Peat Marwick in Houston.

EDUCATION

Steve earned a BBA with a double major in accounting and management from Texas A&M University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Financial Planner (inactive).
