CHICAGO – Transwestern today announces it has been recognized as one of the “Best Workplaces in Chicago” by Fortune magazine and research and consulting firm Great Place to Work®. The commercial real estate firm was ranked no. 19 out of 100 companies from various industries across the entire Chicago metro area. The honor follows a series of triumphs for Transwestern, including being named one of the “100 Best Workplaces for Women" by Great Place to Work® and Fortune magazine for the second consecutive year.
“Being an excellent workplace begins with our people,” said Mike Watts, Transwestern’s Midwest President. “We have created an environment where our team members are empowered to succeed professionally and personally. Transwestern is committed to promoting a healthy work/life balance by creating opportunities for our team members to volunteer, improve their physical health and well-being, and continuously hone their skills through one-on-one mentoring and educational seminars.”
Transwestern’s Midwest region consists of 200 team members throughout Chicago and Rosemont. Some incentives Transwestern provides its team members include full health care and benefits packages; two personal paid days off; eight hours of paid community service; sponsored training and skills development; certifications and memberships; formal mentorship program; a young professionals group providing monthly networking, charitable and educational events; holiday parties; and social events such as TWentyfour, a 24-hour event including games, movies and more.
The Best Workplaces in Chicago are seeing significant benefits from prioritizing their team member experience. Winning companies had average yearly revenue growth more than 2.5 times higher than at peer organizations. Over nine in 10 employees at these leading organizations expressed confidence in their leadership.
"There are many reasons people choose Chicago as a place to live and to grow businesses. Chief among them are our talented and skilled workforce and employers who value such workers highly and treat them accordingly. The Best Workplaces in Chicago exemplify this. Our entire business community is proud of those being recognized,” said Theresa E. Mintle, CEO of the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce.
The Best Workplaces in Chicago is one of a series of rankings by Great Place to Work and Fortune magazine based on employee feedback from Great Place to Work–Certified™ organizations.
