Jan Sparks, Michelle Wogan Recognized as Influential Leaders in Commercial Real Estate

Houston – Transwestern Commercial Services (TCS) today announces two executives were honored at Bisnow’s inaugural Houston Power Women Event: Jan Sparks, Executive Managing Director of the Structured Finance Group, and Michelle Wogan, Executive Vice President of Agency Leasing. Sparks also participated as a panelist at the event to discuss the importance of diversity and mentorship in the workplace.
“I am thrilled that Bisnow has created this event to recognize Houston’s most influential women in commercial real estate, and I am honored and excited to be one of the inaugural honorees,” said Sparks. “My fellow panelists are strong, dedicated women leaders and I am pleased to participate with them in what will be an energizing and uplifting panel on diversity and mentorship.”
Sparks is a founding member of Transwestern’s Structured Finance service and has more than 25 years of experience in real estate finance, including debt origination, underwriting, due diligence and the structuring of debt and equity transactions. Sparks is a proud member of CREW and served as the president of CREW’s Houston chapter in 2018. She additionally served on the board of directors and was the organization’s treasurer prior to her presidency.
Wogan, who has been one of Transwestern’s top producers for 14 years, is an office leasing specialist responsible for the marketing and leasing efforts for several prominent projects and corporations in the Houston area. She is also a longtime board member and current chairman of the Board for the North Houston District.

Through the Power Women initiative, Bisnow holds events across the country to honor innovative and influential executive and industry female leaders who have shaped commercial real estate. Honorees will discuss strategies behind the advancement of women in the commercial real estate industry, as well as share their stories of success. The event was held Dec. 11 at the Hilton Americas in downtown Houston.
