Chicago – Transwestern Real Estate Services (TRS) announces nine Midwest team members were recognized nationally for performance excellence in 2021:
- Chris Davis received the Empowering Extraordinary Award, honoring his unwavering commitment to Transwestern’s guiding principles and delivering exceptional results for both clients and team members.
- Seven local brokers, including Larry Serota, Brian Fogelberg, Joe Karmin, Justin Lerner, Chris Simmons, Mike Salmen and Irv Gilner were recognized for their 2021 transaction volume. In total, 39 brokers nationwide earned a spot in the firm’s coveted Champions’ Club.
- Bonnie Boden was honored with the National Asset Services Team Member of the Year President’s Award.
- Irv Gilner was awarded the Development Cornerstone Award.

2021 was defined by a series of high-profile transactions and successes, including:
- Serota represented Art in Motion in the purchase of 7415 S. East End Ave., a 110,000-square-foot building in Chicago.
- Salmen represented Fredrikson & Byron in a 178,000-square-foot deal at RBC Plaza in Minneapolis.
- Gilner and Vice President Brian Daly brokered a 23-acre land sale in the Chicago suburbs.

Honorees were recognized at the firm’s annual National Recognition Conference. This year’s event, held in Scottsdale, Arizona, welcomed team members, clients and partners for two days of collaboration and celebration.
